Le Nouvelliste | Dj Cash Cash emerges safe and sound from an armed robbery
Reached on the phone the very day after the attack, DJ Cash Cash returned to the details of this unfortunate incident which could have turned really bad. “As I had just parked my motorcycle and was waving to the merchants before entering my click at Alvarez Resto, I heard someone order me to stand still where I was. Afterwards, I realized there was another with a gun pointed at me. One lifted my jersey, to see if I was carrying a weapon. The other ordered him to take my bag, which he did before walking towards a waiting motorcycle. It was then that I understood what was really happening", explains Josama Michelet aka DJ Cash Cash who admits having tried to disarm the one who shot him during this armed robbery before his assailants took the escape.
The DJ, who did not want to interpret what happened, added however: "In the morning, before this incident, I went to the Sogebank on rue Pavée. As I refused to wash my hands, as I was asked before entering the bank, I left without going in. Before going to another branch, I decided to stop by Alvarez Resto, “baz mwen”, and c that's where it happened."
Coming out safe and sound from this attack, he nevertheless lost the passports of his twin sister and his nephew, a check drawn on a Sogebank account, and the seal of DJ Cash Cash, which were in the bag taken away by the bandits . “I strongly hope that these passports will be found or deposited anonymously if possible at Alvarez Resto Club or at Radio Caraïbes”, indicates the artist.
Confident, overflowing with piety and positive energy, DJ Cash Cash confides: “When something happens to you, don’t ask yourself why this thing is happening to you. Depi or gen lafwa or pa bezwen pè anyen. Kontinye kenbe lafwa ak lapriyè”, he urges these fans.
“I know that the fans are wondering if I will continue with my activities; don't worry: si gen kanaval, mwen se premye moun or ap wè, e se mwen k ap chanpyon”, launches the dj who assures that this attack will not prevent him from moving forward with his projects.
