Camille Sabathier's violin and sweet voice, the bass clarinet and the percussion of Alexis Kowalczewski, two artists respectively Toulouse and Montalbanais, will make the poetry of the Palestinian Mahmoud Darwich (1941-2008) and the Lebanese Nadia in the Palestinian Tueni (1935-1983) Thursday and Friday at jewelry. Strong, committed texts, who know how to surrender in dreamlike and intimacy. "I started alone, around 2015, says Camille. I already knew Alexis, who is a real sound researcher: I took him in this musical adventure which is a trip to the East. The words of these two poets , around the theme of exile, resounded strongly in me: they mentioned me the stories of my grandmother, black foot of Algeria. I then passionate about the music of the Maghreb and the Arab world. When I Say these texts, I put myself in the place of the poet, of the artist as he thinks in society. The music of words links the intimate and the collective, the love of the earth and the woman ... It is important to wear these words. " The title of Camille and Alexis' show, "The trace of the butterfly", is also that of the final collection of the Palestinian poet, in a slightly more poetic than political vein, of sublime hope and humanism. A beautiful musical journey which leaves its place to improvisation, which the duo plans to recreate next year with a multilingual female choir, in the line of cultural mediations, these "workshops of the world" that Camille organizes throughout the 'Year with women from all backgrounds around poetry and music. With a guide the great Mahmoud Darwich: "The poem looks like clouds whose shapes must be transformed into images, and the images occur when they find their pace."

"La trace du papillon", jeudi 20 et vendredi 21 janvier à 21 h 30 au Bijou (123, avenue de Muret), Toulouse. Tarifs : 9 et 13 euros. Tél. 05 61 42 08 69.
