Having heard of this slaughterhouse, the One Voice association asked one of its activists to introduce and film it."Young cattle arrive by truck, tight, sometimes injured or sick.They still have to wait for the slaughterhouse opening.In the early morning, men bring them into the slaughter chain, under the blows if necessary, confined by some.[…] Then it’s the hellish merry -go -round.They advance hundreds in a labyrinthine line which has only death as destination.Stunned or not according to the type of slaughter, taken from spasms, hanged by a paw crossed of a hook, head down, they seem to regain consciousness before their throat is decided.Blood gushes and spreads in the channels and everywhere around.Their skin is torn off, then their body cut into methodically pieces, "says the association on its website.
Calves killed for their soft skin, without any concern for their well-being
One Voice already announces its intention to file a complaint for these acts of cruelty to animals, supporting videos.The association has also just launched a petition requiring the immediate closure of this slaughterhouse.According to One Voice, 500 to 600 calves a few months old are killed every day in this slaughterhouse.And for good reason, the skin of the calves, much fine and soft than that of their elders, is sold much more expensive.
