Nadia Akacha, the Islamists want her skin no matter what

Nadia Akacha, the Islamists want her skin no matter what

Hardly a day goes by without the Islamists evoking, negatively, Nadia Akacha, chief of staff of the President of the Republic. With the exception of physical aggression, they do not hesitate before any method to target the forties: false accusations, insults, conspiracy...

She is the one through whom evil comes. On the Facebook pages of the Islamists, she is the absolute Evil, the one who isolated the President of the Republic, the one who plots, the one who betrayed the Republic, the one who has connections abroad. To overwhelm Nadia Akacha, everything is good to take. There are the gifts she herself gives to her adversaries, like the poisoned envelope, and there are the fabricated stories like this leaked document published by Middle East Eye.

A document without head or tail that would make any observer laugh, but which finds an echo with the Islamists, up to the executive office of Ennahdha which published a press release on this subject.

Champions of one-upmanship, the radical Islamists do better than a simple press release and this by officially filing a complaint against the chief of staff accusing her, neither more nor less, of plotting against the State!

The radical and fugitive Islamist deputy Rached Khiari accuses him, for his part, of intelligence with France. He specialized in denigrating Ms. Akacha by devoting a long Facebook post to her every two or three days to denigrate and insult her. He scrutinizes the smallest detail to express his hatred, going so far as to search the Internet for the price of his handbags.

The interest, however, is not in the publications themselves, but in the comments of the subscribers of these pages. Thus, there are countless hateful comments and calls for the public hanging of the chief of staff in these comments. The Islamist political leader launches the accusation, most often unfounded and devoid of evidence, and the pack of his fans rushes to insult who better-better.

In recent days, the Islamists are no longer alone in the missive against the head of the presidential cabinet. Former relatives and sympathizers of the CPR have joined the Islamist pack.

Thus, Adnen Mansar, former chief of staff of Moncef Marzouki, accuses Ms. Akacha by name of having isolated the President of the Republic, of having a suspicious role and of being responsible for several disasters within the presidential institution.

Seeking to take advantage of the opportunity and reposition herself on the political scene, the former director of communication for the presidency, Rachida Enneïfer, went out yesterday on Mosaïque FM to join the Islamist pack and attack the chief of staff. In his words, we feel the settling of accounts from miles away. Which is not surprising from the one who annihilated the communication cell of the presidency. With barely veiled words, Rachida Enneïfer indirectly accuses Nadia Akacha of being at the origin of the isolation of the president and of being the instigator of the "coup d'etat" project of which the Islamists speak.

“Slander, slander, there will always be something left! says the proverb. The Islamists are having a field day, especially since their fans and sympathizers do not question their words at all. They seriously think that their publications are having an effect and that they will succeed in dislodging the chief of staff from her post.

On the side of Carthage, for the moment, Nadia Akacha remains silent and does not fall into the trap of responding to slanders. The idea of throwing in the towel and resigning crossed her mind dozens of times, one of her relatives confides, but she managed to find the energy and stay above the fray. Rather above the dump.

What gives him all this assurance is the President of the Republic himself. This is no secret, since Kaïs Saïed makes sure to make it appear in almost every public outing. He shows everyone that Nadia Akacha has his full confidence.

What the Islamists pretend not to see, or do not see so blinded by their hatred, is that their attacks on the chief of staff have the opposite effect on the president.

When they say that Nadia Akacha isolated the president, it's as if they were saying that Kais Saïed is a kid that a 40-year-old can manipulate. The Head of State simply considers that this is contemptuous of him.

What the Islamists ignore is that Nadia Akacha consults the president in the smallest details of his work. She does nothing without informing him first. And it is because she consults him on everything that she has his full confidence.

What Nadia Akacha's adversaries, who often claim to be well informed about what is going on in the palace (the last to say this was Adnen Mansar, just this morning), do not know is that the President of the Republic is even better informed than them. He knows who does what and who is who. He knows who is meeting who and who is plotting with whom. Kaïs Saïed has a precise idea of the names of the corrupt and the corrupters. This is not a secret, he has said it several times.

They may think he is isolated, but Kaïs Saïd is informed of everything. And his information, he does not draw them from his chief of staff. On a daily basis, the President reads intelligence reports from the Ministry of the Interior and the Army that are rich in information about what is happening in the country and in the Deep State. He has regular contact with several political leaders and MPs whom he trusts. He also has regular contact with artists and influencers. Finally, we do not forget the privileged relationship he has with his brother Naoufel and his friend Ridha Lenin who, themselves, have well-integrated relationships in society.

Therefore, to say and believe that Kaïs Saïed was isolated by Nadia Akacha is just laughable. It is to misunderstand the President of the Republic and his range of action.

So why do Islamists and opponents of Nadia Akacha attack her, and not him?

First, there is ordinary machismo, since the Islamists still live under the regime of a patriarchal society. To claim, in front of their fans, that Kaïs Saïed is led by a woman, is to show him as a man devoid of virility. This has been said and repeated in several Islamist pages.

There is then a desire to push the lady (and the Woman is deemed to be fragile, as they believe) to the limit so that she resigns. Kaïs Saïed would thus lose a master card in his office if a trusted lady leaves him. This departure would greatly weaken the President of the Republic.

Finally, there is the search for credibility and efficiency. By directly attacking Kaïs Saïed, the Islamists immediately suffered a backlash. Saïed's fans are very numerous on social networks and constantly remind us that the President of the Republic is a clean person. For them, attacking him is a red line.

On the other hand, when it is Nadia Akacha who is attacked, the aftershocks are less or even non-existent. The hundreds of thousands of Kaïs Saïed fans have an inconsiderate love for the president alone and not for his team. Suddenly, when the Islamists attack Nadia Akacha, they are assured that they will not be attacked in return and that their words are not questioned.

Last point, and this is the most anecdotal, Nadia Akacha is attacked by default since the president has almost no advisers and there is neither a spokesperson nor a communication director to respond to the various accusations. launched indiscriminately at the assembly and on social networks. For lack of another scapegoat, Nadia Akacha accuses all the blows directed against the presidency.

This atmosphere based on false accusations and insults cannot last too long, however.

One day or another, the President of the Republic must come out to denounce by name all the parties who attack him directly and indirectly. He has promised this several times in his speeches, but he always remains silent. Until when ? It is still abnormal that his chief of staff and confidant is thus attacked daily without him defending her.

Equally abnormal that he does not have a communication service and a spokesperson capable of going out in the media to put out the fires that his adversaries light daily here and there.

Nadia Akacha is today the victim of a veritable Islamist cabal, of course, but she is also the victim of her own president.
