Reuse before recycling
Since I started composting, my kitchen trash can fills up much less quickly and I don't have to empty it regularly. However, I can't say the same for my recycling bin. ShareValérie MarcouxLe Soleil TOWARDS ZERO WASTE / Refuse is the first commandment of the 5R rule which should guide us towards the ideal of zero waste. This R reminds us to refuse products that we do not need, those that are over-packaged, as well as single-use items. These are easier to refuse when we know the alternatives available to us: and there is something for (almost) everything!
