This is not the first attempt by LVMH to attract young talent to these manual trades. The group had already launched, in 2014, its Institute of Excellence in Professions (IME), as part of a social responsibility approach and a policy in favor of equal opportunities. "We wanted to create bridges to promote access to professions in the luxury sector and above all to ensure the transmission of our know-how in the crafts, creation and sales professions", explains Françoise Schoenberger, Director social development at LVMH. Since its creation, the institute has already trained more than 1,000 apprentices in 27 different trades. And 80% of them have been hired by one of the Group's Maisons.
