The CFDA Awards committee has just unveiled the list of its nominees, including French designer Simon Porte Jacquemus.

The legendary CFDA Awards are making a comeback with a physical event announced for November 10. Organized at the Pool Room in New York, this major couture event in the United States will reward six designers in various categories.

For American Womenswear Designer of the Year, the nominees are Catherine Holstein for KHAITE, Christopher John Rogers, Gabriela Hearst, Marc Jacobs and Peter Do.

For American Menswear Designer of the Year, the nominees are Emily Adams Bode for BODE, Jerry Lorenzo for Fear of God, Mike Amiri for AMIRI, Telfar Clemens for Telfar and Thom Browne.

For American Accessories Designer of the Year, the nominees are Ashley Olsen and Mary-Kate Olsen for The Row, Aurora James for Brother Vellies, Gabriela Hearst, Stuart Vevers for Coach and Telfar Clemens for Telfar.

For American Emerging Designer of the Year, the nominees are Edvin Thompson for Theophilio, Eli Russell Linnetz for ERL, Jameel Mohammed for KHIRY, Kenneth Nicholson and Maisie Schloss for Maisie Wilen.

For the International Men's Designer of the Year, the nominees are Daniel Lee for Bottega Veneta, Dries Van Noten, Grace Wales Bonner for Wales Bonner, Rick Owens, and Virgil Abloh for Louis Vuitton.

Finally, for the International Women's Designer of the Year, the nominees are Daniel Lee for Bottega Veneta, Demna Gvasalia for Balenciaga, the duo Miuccia Prada / Raf Simons for Prada and Pierpaolo Piccioli for Valentino. A French designer is also nominated this year, in the person of Simon Porte Jacquemus, for his creative work within his eponymous brand.

Following the announcement of these nominations, the names of five winners have already been announced. Dapper Dan will be awarded the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award, while the Founder's Award in honor of Eleanor Lambert will go to Aurora James for the 15 Percent Pledge. Yeohlee Teng will also receive the Board of Directors Tribute, Patagonia will be honored with the Sustainability Award, and the Media Award in Honor of Eugenia Sheppard will be presented to Nina Garcia.
