Little by little, the movement is gaining momentum. Saturday July 31, 204,090 people beat the pavement throughout France to protest against the extension of the health pass. The previous weekends, 114,000 then 161,000 opponents had already gathered in the street, and new gatherings are planned for Saturday August 7. Even in the heart of summer, nothing seems to be able to stop a social movement which, as the days go by, swells... and hardens. Last Saturday, 76 people were arrested on the sidelines of the various processions, including 26 in Paris. Two men were sentenced to suspended prison sentences in the wake of the Paris Criminal Court, for blows and insults to a person holding public authority.
