UK wants zero-emission ships by 2025

Forgotten, like air transport, from the Paris climate agreement (2015), maritime transport is back at the heart of the issues. London, which is organizing COP 26, the world conference on climate change, in Glasgow in November, intends to set more demanding objectives for ships and cargo ships.

The international shipping industry must aim for “absolutely zero” CO2 emissions by 2050, UK Transport Minister Grant Shapps announced on Monday at the start of International Shipping Week.
