A discovery which risks being decisive... In a press release published by Le Figaro, the prosecutor of Béziers, Raphaël Balland explained on Wednesday April 7, 2021: "As part of a rogatory commission from the magistrate instructor, a lifeless body was found hidden under a concrete slab at the home of Aurélie Vaquier." While the young woman has been missing since January 28, everything suggests that the body found is indeed hers. The prosecutor of Béziers indeed assured that the latter was "most probably that of Aurélie Vaquier because of a very recognizable tattoo and a piercing." According to Le Parisien, Samire was placed in police custody for "kidnapping, forcible confinement and murder" after the discovery of a body, under a concrete slab recently poured in the main room of his home located in Bédarieux in the Hérault.

While a body was found, Raphaël Balland assured: "The criminal investigation technicians of the Montpellier gendarmerie group are currently carrying out the meticulous extraction of the body which is not yet formally identified and a medical examiner move to the scene." He also indicated "that it is plausible that he could have participated in the death since he lived in the apartment and notified the gendarmes belatedly" but insisted "on the presumption of innocence which must apply to the companion, especially since the police custody has only just begun." In shock, it was on leaving the premises and realizing that the body of his sister, Aurélie Vaquier, had been found that Jérémy confided to our colleagues from Parisian: "At this time, there is no absolute certainty, but several elements suggest that it is indeed her." A tragic end for the one who planned to sell soaps and costume jewelery in her new premises... "Aurélie certainly did not deserve to disappear like this. She was a bright and benevolent person who only sought to do good around of her," said a friend.

"A real fabric of lies"

For the Parisian, the relatives of Aurélie Vaquier had confided to being doubtful about the voluntary departure of the young woman. A month after her disappearance, Soraya had explained: "She would never have left us without giving news. She was so and constantly listening to the suffering of others." Shocked, another friend confided: "The speech he has given us all these days is a real tissue of lies. By rewriting the chronology on our side, we have pointed out at least 25 inconsistencies."
