Agnès Roy, founder of Agy Rev

“Agy Rev at the beginning was Agyness Riviera, Agyness is Agnès and Riviera was associated with jewelry, the river of diamonds, the pure side. Very quickly, I got caught in relation to the INPI (the national institute of industrial property). I said to myself "when you register the name of a brand, you have to do something improbable since everything is already registered". Agy Rev is a bit like the contraction of all that. »

Agnès Roy, collect all the sleeping treasures. All the costume jewelry forgotten in the drawers, without market value, she repairs and recycles them. After going to fashion school, Agnès Roy became an assistant stylist, then an accessories stylist, she worked for over seventeen years for major textile groups. Despite this great experience, Agnès Roy wanted to find a more ecological solution for production and engage in an ethical and more responsible approach.

“I am the jewelry nurse”

With her brand Agy Rev and the donations of fancy jewelry, she recreates according to arrivals.

Agnès Roy, Agy Rev, the singularity recycling costume jewelery

“I am the jewelry nurse. The ideas, they can come not according to the value, but rather according to the singularity and that allows me to have a raw material, which is always different. Sometimes, I receive jewelry and I say to myself "if this jewelry was offered to someone or worn, it means that there was a time when the person liked it". So I try to understand the raw material. It's exciting because I'm going to make assemblies that I never would have thought of. Everything is allowed. »

Taking care of costume jewelry

Agnès Roy brings jewelry back to life and also provides a gilding and silvering service.

“All the jewelry I have is worthless. Me, I only wear fantasy. I like darling jewelry, bright and light. I always wear the same ones. I get them gilded every five years so I can wear them all my life. You have to agree to maintain a jewel bought for twenty or thirty euros, agree to bring it back to the gilder. This service does not exist for individuals, I am the first to offer it. I offer gilding and silvering at the artisan price to all my customers to be able to make these jewels live longer. What I like about fantasy is that it creates an illusion. Then we can mix the real with the fantasy,” concludes Agnès Roy.
